When my sister and I were small, probably about 7 and 5, we collected all the snails we could find in our overgrown garden and put them in the tumbledown greenhouse/conservatory/lean-to on the back of the house. We got hundreds and we wanted to keep them as pets. Over several days we collected more and more and nobody noticed because my mum and dad weren't into gardening. Until they got into the kitchen.
